No mention of Lake Merritt!  You can't get any more scenic or centrally located in the Bay Area than that.

Dang, hated to see my home town named (Grass Valley) it's getting too big as it is. Population was 5000 when my Great GF came there in 1850, 5000 when GF was born 1864, 5000 when my fater was born 1899 and 5000 when I was born 1949, now well it's California...

We lived in the Bay area for 6 years "back in the day," and we truly did leave our hearts in San Fran and the Bay area!
