Living in California, you get spoiled.I honestly believe, with the exception of cranberries, everything listed in this article can be had and is readily available from California farms and ranches!

I'm so very thankful that the republican teabag taliban leaders Rmoney and Lyin Ryan were completely rejected by the rational thinking majority of Americans. Now there is still hope for the American middle class and the republicans won't be able to outsource Thanksgiving to China. Happy Thanksgiving America!!!!!

Party Marty! I understand tey are going to have a "hurricane Sandy" float this year. They just piled a bunch detroyed homes on a flatbed. There is also the Katrina Float, which is suppose to provide steep competition to the Sandy float.

The author of this article is a dimwit. Iowa is the number one producer of yellow dent corn, not sweet corn. I hope that is what they have for Thanksgiving. Creamed corn cassarole is made from sweet corn. Wisconsin is the number one producer of sweet corn, Minnesota not far behind. Iowa only produces a small amount of sweet corn, and perhaps none of it is processed. Frozen corn niblets from Iowa? Unlikely.

How come a bowl of black beans was not mention?  The food of the poor.  Dried black beans can sit in a bowl of water and can become soft to eat.  This is what Thanksgiving is all about - just having something to eat - and not all this expensive foods in this article.

I wouldn't eat a b"Butterball" for anything.Rule #1,Never eat anything a grocery market gives away.Chances are you will be eating the garbage.

Best Turkey you can buy,Diestal ,range free, not frozen turkeys from Sonora,Cal.Great birds that really are not that expensive. If you have to eat turkey once  or twice a yesr, eat  a Diestal turkey!

I love Both Thanksgiving and the magic of Christmas. The magic of keeping my childhood in

how fun it is was to be with my family, watching the Macy's Parade with everyone while en-

joying the the cousins and friends. Aunts, Uncles and especially Grand Parents.

Christmas had most of the magic as a child I'd try to catch Santa placing the presents

under the tree, very carefully, so not to be seen or looking out my bedroom window to

look for the raindeer in the starry sky while the snow sparkled on the trees and ground

and tree branches.

And to this day it's only a memory, but one which still gives me the thrill of those times.

If we all went back in our memories of those times, the world wouldn't be so bad.

Happy Thanksgiving USA.

Marty Stiles.
