World's Wildest White-Water Rafting

Just like a Northern Hemisphere skier who finds himself in snowy Chile come July, summer never ends for river rats, that special breed of adventurer who is most comfortable getting tossed in frothing white water like a spun salad. Rafting may feel like a school of hard knocks sometimes, but here’s a set of classes we wouldn’t want to skip, no matter what time of year the bell rings.

Done the upper Gauley when the damn was released! It's ranked the 7th best commercial river in the world and lives up to that ranking! Not for the inexperienced rafter! Class VI outfitters is the best in the area! Great guides and a nice base camp too!

The Zambezi River, below Victoria Falls should be added to the list.  Great III & IV class rapids, one V class rapid, warm water, great scenery, and no crocks or hippos during the white water stretch of water.  Go to Livingston, Zambia for the trip.

Hey yes and not to mention the Arkansas river in Colorado... Very fun place to go rafting and very polite and hospitable guides. There are a several levels so anyone from beginner to expert can enjoy this.

Done the upper Gauley !!!!  hang on for a ride.. Did the 4 man raft !!!

 U have to go try it.. It will make a man or a woman out of u n a hurry !!!

you forgot clear creek in colorado ,some of the fastest water i've ever been on,with pretty much countinous rapids.

Be carefu what you wish for in running difficult rivers.  Most people that are serious about it have dead friends and narrow escapes.  Going with a professional outfitter is no guarantee of safety because they do the hardest runs.  Get some knowledge before you make decisions about doing difficult rivers ie Class IV-V.
