I posted a comment about how I would love to visit one of these castles, especially to be able to write an article on my experience there and get some insight with my work in the advertising industry. However I received a reply on that from a craig and I would like to reply to him but his comment is gone.  the millionair sight- seekingrich.com doesnt have any info on him.  What you said about the castle was nice, thumbs up for that one!

Arghhh   The bedbug note has me creeped out.  I forget just how old and rustic some of these places are. The bedbugs could have been there for a hundred years. (or more) So if you get bit, be glad it is by bugs who feasted on some royal hinnies.

I got married in Amberley Castle in 2001.  It was and still is beautiful (we went back for our 10th anniversary).  The only difference is that in 2001 they did not restrict children staying  at the castle.  Now, under different ownership children under twelve can't even dine in the restaurant.  Sad since we took our 6 and 7 year old children to see where we got married.  We wanted to stay at the castle again, but we couldn't because of their ages.  Maybe when our youngest is twelve.

Still, it is a beautiful castle and the staff was very kind and helpful in 2001 and 2011.

I would love to stay in a "haunted" castle in Ireland!   Also, I would like to see the local attractions and beautiful countryside. Hopefully one day I can take this ideal trip.

I  went to one of these castles.

Very expensive and believe it or not there were bedbugs in the bedroom. Better go to Hilton hotels..
