The Arabic-speaking world spans two continents and at least twice as many recognized geographical regions. Though not everyone in the Arabic region is Muslim, the annual observance of Ramadan — and its conclusion, Eid al-Fitr, celebrated this year beginning at sundown Aug. 18 — is hard to miss in the area. In honor of the end of a month of fasting for Muslims around the globe, here are 10 spectacular — and in some cases, holy — sights to be seen from Africa to the Middle East and back again.
