From my most recent visit to Yellowstone in the summer of 2006 it was the most fastinating experience seeing natural eruptions such as mudbaths and especially the Old Faithful Geyser. It is worthwhile place of a lifetime to see. Of course I visited Glacier in 2009 where I finally enjoyed the trip up to Logan Pass experiencing the Continental Divide where you will notice not only climatic changes however also how streams flow eastward on one side and westward on another side.
Now that days are getting longer during February and March it is a worthwhile see of Denali where you will see a wide array of wildlife. Of course towards the middle of March and Alaska being on ADT on 03/10/2013 you should be able to finally experience daylight hours until nearly 7 PM after long darkness in the months of November, December and early January. Be mindful of travel availability due to extreme cold and snow in the DeNali region. During the regular cruising season which begins mid May to late September is the best time where it is daylight nearly 21 hours a day in the month of late May to late July.
