Jamaica: The Caribbean’s on-beat paradise

No island in the Caribbean maintains a more varied reputation than Jamaica. Many know it for its Rasta culture, Blue Mountain coffee and laissez-faire tourism, but getting out of the tourist areas and all-inclusive resorts pays huge dividends here, where “off the beaten path” is a way of life.

We were on the north shore of Jamaica just last week when our cruise ship stopped there for the day. Had a lot of fun.  The people seem to be very interesting and sociable.  The scenery was really spectacular.  We went to some other islands and to the Yucatan part of Mexico. Now we are back in Utah with a lot of snow in the yard, don't ya know? It was a really great trip! Hurry up spring!
