Again, I live 4 hours from Fargo, and my sister is a Danish citizen. I know these things. I comment on what I have experienced first hand.

If you want to get the whole Nordic snow thing, might I recommend Fargo/Moorhead? Great shopping, some good restaurants, and much, much nicer people than the Danes.

 

Oh, and much less smoking.

My sister lived in Copenhagen, and I visited Tivoli---grotesquely​ OVERRATED. However, Danish pastries are excellent.

 

But beware---the whole city shuts down at 5 PM except for the bars, and gas is OUTRAGEOUS. Copenhagen has the traffic density of Decatur, Alabama for a reason.

Northern Minnesota in Summer---wonderful lakes, and near the Canadian border, Fourth of July is 72 degrees, and the sun doesn't go down until after 10 PM.

Try Nashville in April; from May on it starts to SWELTER (lived in Northern Alabama, too). Otherwise, concur---Nashville is fun with nice people and good food.

Louisville during Derby time: Yup, what I want to do is spend time next to a group of Drunken Kentuckians REEKING of whiskey and tobacco smoke. (Former resident of Owensboro, Kentucky, for 5 years, and a visitor to Louisville---when I slam a place, I've lived there. Hollyweird, CA, Fort Worth Texas, Galveston Texas, Rotorua NZ, Albuquerque, NM, Las Cruces, NM, Chicago, IL)

Former permanent resident of New Zealand. North Island is Grotesquely OVERRATED. Go to Yellowstone for Geysers.

 

In addition, they don't like Yanks, and they hate Asians.

Let's focus on travel sites in the United States for awhile
I bet there are places here that a lot of people have never been too and just need to find out about them
I have traveled all of the states and find things I wish I had seen and done, but never knew about them
