Five hours of flights in 30 seconds
One filmmaker's impressive time-lapse video shows the busy skies above San Diego's International Airport.

San Diego is one of my favorite cities to fly in and out of. The airport is situated uniquely within the city, remarkably close to downtown's many skyscrapers and right on the picturesque California coastline. Ascents and descents happen at a steeper angle than normal and offer remarkable views of the city and sea; get a window seat for sure. Even sitting in the airport parking lot allows you an intimate closeup of the plane's underbelly--an exhilarating experience that has always reminded me of this scene from Wayne's World.
You can experience a little of SAN's sex appeal from afar in the video below, a quick 30 seconds of time-lapse footage that covers five hours of flights on Black Friday (originally seen on TheNextWeb.com). Filmmaker Cy Kuckenbaker's editing is particularly cool, since the planes are overlapped against the dreamy, cloud-dotted sky.
