Vacation hotels or Hotels ?  First I think it would be appropriate to separate , vacation hotels and location from business oriented hotels and location , Only 3 of these would qualify for the vast majority of hotels I have needed use ,  while on a business oriented trip , the balance are great vacation locations , IE: where is the northeast's  Tri State area Christiana Hilton , a First Class 5 star operation , in a easily accessible location and just hours from DC or NYC .  , This Hilton Estate has swan feeding daily as well as fine dining . banquet halls and conference rooms . visit sometime .

Wow ... I am tired of coming to read a wonderful article about hotels/resorts only to read such negative and absurd comments. It seems like a lot of you are bitter because you don't have enough. Well, first, this article is about the best hotels, not CHEAP hotels. If you don't like where you are in life, and you want to stay at a nicer hotel, then do something to change it. I've been blessed to stay at the nicest resorts all over the world, and the service is amazing. You get what you pay for. It seems to me that many of you have the victim menality of "POOR ME, I'M JUST A BLUE COLLAR WORKER AND CAN'T AFFORD IT". Then if you want more, be thankful for what you already DO have, and change it!!!! I bet you are all democrats too, because you have this entitlement mentality that makes me sick. Let's see how many dislikes this comment gets! (Which I don't care)...

This is absurd and looks more like a photo shoot of a modell!  Where are the kids and pets in the picture?  This looks like a honeymoon lady and excludes most American families.  Hit on the affordable chain hotels where most of us are watching our money for a place to sleep.  I stayed at a Best Western and could not believe the great and free breakfast they offer however the rooms and furniture are old and out dated.  The problem is not all Best Western's are the same and the LAX Best Western is higher priced than those around them.  Another problem is, all these hotels are getting into the hipe of points.  So now I have a Best Western point card that takes lots of points for a free night but do not offer any discount at their hotels until you accumulate points for your stay.  No reward for consumers holding these cards.

Another BS story about the best hotels by brand.... Brand to me is a chain hotel..... So if they want to share the best by brand it should be CHAIN Hotels.  What garbage this articles are!!!!!!

Just another BS list.... what exactly are the criteria for selecting the 10 best hotels?   AND, how much did each of the properties listed have to pay to be included.    Absolute waste of my time, that's what I love about MSN.

My wife and I stayed at a Super 8 in Elko, Nevada, once.  Before bedding down we had dinner at the diner / video store / flower shop while looking out the window at a snow capped mountain in May. We were the only ones in the place so while we ate dinner the owner visited with us and told about his family and the ranch they operated.  It was awesome!
