If good people really knew what secretly goes on in the communities of Vegas they would stop coming.

Take your kids to real museums.

When we go to Vegas it's usually off-strip.  That's how we found the Freemont Street Experience.  What a great surprise that was!.  It was fun watching people come out of everywhere to watch the show.  We would so much rather go off-strip because it's not as crowded; because the hotels are so much less expensive and nicer at times, and the atmosphere is so much better than on the strip.  But the Freemont Street Experience was wonderful.

Or... you can come with your kids, spend a day or so doing roller coasters with them  then send them to Camp Camelot Equestrian resident camp for Children... just a thought!  Transportation to and from L.V. provided! A little night life for Mom and Dad and an amazing adventure for the kids!

Don't forget the Pinball Hall of Fame  It's on E Tropicana not to far off the strip.  10'000 sq ft building and over 250 playable pinball and video arcade machines.  For less then 20 dollars of quarters you can have an enjoyable afternoon.  Oh, did I mention it's a nonprofit and donated something like $450,000 to the Salvation Army last year.

I went to UNLV years ago and loved hiking and just driving through Red Rock Canyon.  One day while hiking, I stopped to rest and sat on a boulder.  A companion told me to get up slowly and move away from the rock as it was about 3 feet away from a sidewinder (type of rattlesnake) - Be careful. Also loved going up to Mount Charleston.  Great place.
