I don't know how you decide these silly things but if you haven't been to the Grand Canyon where I lived for 8 years you haven't seen a sunrise and there is a pretty good one 2 hours south in Sedona, Az where sunrise/sunset is awesome.

Note, there are no rest rooms at the top. And if you have been drinking coffee to stay awake along the rood up, this could be an issue. This was in 1999, maybe this has changed. The stop before the gate at the entrance is the last rest room. The gate closes when there are so many visitors at the top and you can not get back up if you go back down before sunrise.

Driving cross country I remember driving into New Mexico in the morning. Awesome, the sun hit the fire red orange mountains.

Oh brother!

As usual, MSN gets it wrong.

BETTER places than most if not all the places they list:

1) Acadia National park at sunrise. You just might see some whales or hear the quiet Atlantic waves lapping at the shore.

2) Western North Dakota, western South Dakota, western Nebraska, and/or western Kansas. Get to some empty land and just sit while relaxing to the sunrise. Enjoy the sounds.

3) Long Island. Wear either comfortable walking shoes and go for a walk at 600am on the beach. Or running shoes at the same time and location. And make sure to thank the US courts for preventing the wealthy from blocking off access to such a wonderful beach/beaches.

4) San Francisco and the Golden Gate Bridge. TO see that awesome structure jutting out of the fog in the morning is a "Whoa, cool." item. And taking pics of that scene from any vantage point makes any one seem like a super-pro photographer...

5) NYC between 500am and 600am. About the only time the city sleeps. And you can find some great locations for pics.

Lots more in the USA if you just look.....

I'm confused with the story of Masada, how can they call themselves fighters when they basically suicided by proxy? Fighters fight to the end or, if you don't fight, you surrender to live and fight another day. I'll have to look further into the story because this one doesnt make sense to me.

I can't think of anything more exciting than to get up at 5 AM to watch a bunch of dead fish get auctioned off. And, on top it in a nation that's instrumental in raping the ocean's resources.

Too many people want to believe in a god they make up, and not the real God they should believe in, even some churches seem to be moving in that direction, and every society who has moved away from God has suffered greatly as a result of Him turning them over to their own evil ways. . . but hey. let's blame the gun instead of ourselves.
