To say athat all religion helps and hurts the world proves that you don't know the difference between being a true follower of Jesus Christ, God's son, and man's attempt and finding a little, tiny worthless god. You have not accepted the sinful condition that everyone struggles with. Mental institutions, counseling, anger managment and the likes will not solve the problem that we all have, which is a problem with sin. Confess your sins and believe that Jesus came to save us from our sins is the only hope each one of us has.

All religion helps & hurts the world. Religious fanatics definitely do more harm & good with their exclusionary values. What bothers me more is that in the US, guns are not the problem, per se. We have a problem with handling our anger and also denying our mental health issues. These are the reasons we see so much death here. I hope in the New Year we can begin to heal it all with more plans to teach Anger Management, starting with middle school. We need to invest in more Mental Health hospitals/clinics. One would think President Reagan, injured by a mentally ill man who was able to get a gun, should have rethought & helped relegislate the issue! He was the very one who helped get rid of our mental health insitutions.
